What is Goodarts dot Net?

Goodarts dot Net is the online portfolio for Ryan G. Wilson. Hi, I’m Ryan! I’m a professional designer working in website design, print design, screen printing and animation. I am currently completing coursework toward an M.S. in Psychology - Human Computer Interaction - from Iowa State University. I received my undergraduate degree in Visual Communication from Ohio University's School of Visual Communication and have over ten years of experience working in the field of professional design. My design hobbies include screen printing and doodling. After my graduation in May of 2012, I hope to start teaching courses in Web Design, User Experience and Visual Communication at university level.

Ideology

What if you could see what your project would look like before it was completed? I’ve refined the way I work so that my clients are part of the design process nearly every step of the way – that way my clients are never in the dark about what their final design will look like. This method doesn’t require any additional time on their part and, on average, takes me less total billable time. For my clients it's a win-win situation.

As for the way I design, I believe in consistency, good design and doing something right the first time. For web design, doing this means writing clean, valid and modern code and understanding that websites today are going to be viewed on multiple devices. A beautiful website that works well on a PC also needs to work effectively on mobile browsers.

Know Your Browser

February 20, 2012

Recently, I’ve decided to take on the crusade of getting users still using Internet Explorer 6 through 8 to upgrade to the most current version, which, at the time of this writing, is IE9.
