Accordion Form

Role : Complete Process
Concept : I designed a multi-level form for use on client websites to collect information for a variety of meetings. The form was modeled after a recent request from a client for a similar form but sanitized and made generic for reuse with other client’s needs. My clients tend to be smaller businesses without IT support staff and who typically aren’t technologically adept. Because of this, the form was originally intended to be an email only delivery, but I added a mySQL database to collect user input for the sake for the project.

Mobile Tracking Application

Role : Complete Process
Concept : Over the past few months I’ve rediscovered my interest in running. While running, I often think about how fast I’m traveling and how many calories I’m burning. It was because of though that developed my concept for a mobile application that tracks your GPS location and applies other variables (time, weight, age and height) to return after run results of average speed, distance and calories burnt.

Concept : Find ways to streamline the Starbucks order process
Background : The design challenge was enhancing the user experience of the VRAC/HCI website for the current stakeholders of prospective students, current students, and faculty. Keeping fresh content was a major concern to all stakeholders interviewed, as well as an updated look for the site. Along with updating the look of the site, our overall goal was to increase the usability and user experience of the site by establishing a clear information architecture. We will detail our user-centered design process in this report.

Service Design Project - Starbucks

Group Members : Kanchan Jahagirdar, Teja Myneedu, Ryan Wilson
Role : Personas, BluePrint+, Flow Charts, App Wire Frames, Hi-Fidelity Design
Concept : Find ways to streamline the Starbucks order process
Background : Our group observed Starbucks locations in California, Nebraska and Illinois – they all function in the same way, their rush periods are very similar in volume, they are staffed with the same amount of people uniformly, the layout of the store and front counters are similar, and the amount of time a customer spends from start to completion is comparable.
